Youth Encounter 3xi

About the project

Youth Encounter 3xi was a dialogue space between older adults and young people aimed at recognizing differences, finding common ground, and encouraging collaboration. During the event at Estación Mapocho, a participatory art installation invited attendees to collectively complete three large canvases organized as a numbered grid, similar to a large-scale paint-by-numbers composition. Each panel was specially designed for the activity to guide the collaborative painting process.

As participants filled the numbered sections with color, the collective action gradually revealed vibrant landscapes of the Andes Mountains, symbolizing both Chile’s natural richness and the value of shared creation. The final artworks were later donated to a girls’ shelter.
